Job TITLE: Lead Omni-Channel Quality Engineer

Skill: As a OmniChannel Lead QE Engineer you will be responsible for validating software products through the use of a systematic approach to develop, apply, and maintain quality standards. You will be expected to execute test cases; maintain documentation of results; and work closely with development engineers to resolve discrepancies. As part of the QE team, the overall focus of the group is on competitive market and customer requirements, technology advances, product quality, product cost and time-to-market specific to OmniChannel efforts, those efforts which cross all selling channels. This position requires and individual with leadership skills who is creative, team-oriented, a quick learner and driven to produce results. This position does not include supervisory (HR-related) responsibilities; it focuses on project related responsibilities. Key Accountabilities: • Gather test requirements. • Develop, implement and execute test plans as required • Develop Test Design Specifications and Test Strategies. • Prepare Test reports. • Prepare Test summaries. • Help resolve environment deployment issues. • Seek out expertise, knowledge, and resources to develop solutions to problems. • Participate in technical communications within the team and with other groups associated with specified projects. • Participate in design reviews and make recommendations on site improvements. • Provide input to improvements of processes and procedures. • Participate in review of QE documentation and test scripts. • Work on additional tasks and responsibilities as assigned that will contribute towards team, department, and company goals. • Communicate progress and escalate issues to management in a timely manner. • Work on difficult problems of a broad scope. • Provide technical leadership, mentoring and development for more junior engineers. • Estimate resource requirements for software test projects at multiple levels • Work effectively with staff to vice-president level employees within the function, across functions and with external parties. • Individual should be able to operate, drive results and set priorities independently. • Be a proactive contributor and subject matter expert. • Demonstrate favorable results through regular leadership and influencing others. • Review Test Strategies and provide input on best practices • Manage both internal and external configurations within the .com Architecture • Ensure Testability of new Artifacts by way of input to Development • Ensure Audit Compliance • Assist with capacity planning of test environments in proprietary cloud based systems • Manage OmnicChannel Data across platforms • Drive to application level Subject Matter Expertise (SME) across the Macys and Bloomingdales domain/architecture

Experience: • Experience working in cross functional teams • Experience working with FitNesse with Java J2EE • 2+ year direct experience using git or svn • Java Development experience is big plus • Knowledge of the benefits and limitation of different scripting languages (Ruby, Shell, Python, php. etc)

Education: • BS degree in Computer Science / Computer Engineering or higher • Work experience using an industry standard source control management system (SCM ) • Hands-on Experience in OO languages and API testing • Exposure to Agile software development life cycle, Continuous Integration, and Continuous Deployment • Demonstrated analytical and problem solving skills • DB Experience - SQL, schema design, etc • Able to work across multiple platforms, architectures and domains (Content Management, Ecommerce & Backend Systems)
